66% of the German population know the VDE Mark. Furtheron, a survey (PDF, 5.356 KB) found that for 78% of the German population independent safety testing is important. Saftey marks are "very important" or "important" for two thirds of Germans (66%). On the other hand, neutral testing by the VDE Institute reassures the engineer when designing and manufacturing new products. VDE testing therefore is equally important to trade and consumers. The VDE Mark enjoys high reputation with the buyers of electrotechnical products.
